Out of the box, not really. They come with no internet-reachable services 
switched on. Using internet sharing is fine, other than it requires the iMac to 
be on when the second computer’s in use.

As for a router, heck I just get what’s cheap and when it dies in a few years I 
get what's cheap again :-/ Woot has a WD wifi router for $17 today
