Not as far as I know. Apple specifically allowed virtualization of SL Server, provided it was running on an OS X host, so all three VM programs will prevent you from installing the client SL.
That said, the major differences between Server and Client were the additional GUI server tools for managing the various services and the removal of the simultaneous AFS connection limit in client. Aside from not being able to provide more than 10 simultaneous AFS file service connections, client can run any server service that Server can, you just have to use traditional Unix command-line tools to manage and configure them.
