Hi,
I faced the same problem. Unfortunately, all my users email is using imail database.
Is there any work-around to it? I just can't migrate all of them to external database,
such as installing SQL server on same server. I really need help on this.

The forgotten password feature requires that you use an external
database... there's nowhere to store and then query on a backup email
address otherwise.
