We use Cold Fusion here and have found a very simple way to subscribe to
Lists in Imail. I am sure that it would work with any mailto code you have our
use:

The following is the info that needs to be put into the mailto app. It works
thru email as well.

Header:
TO="[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
FROM="#email#"
SUBJECT="Subscribe"
(listdomain.com is whatever domain the list is at.)

Message Body:
Subscribe listname #email#

(listname is what you have named the list.
Ex: if the list address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] then the listname would be
users)
(the #email# are where the user's email address should be outputted from
the form they filled out to be added to the list. You can test this in a regular
email message to your list.)
All of this information is located in the Imail manual btw.

J.

RE: [imail] List Server FeatureIf you have an ASP form it would be perfect. All
you have to do is set up the required fields and associate them with the
message
that the List server accepts.  Meaning.....You need three pages, mail.asp;
contact.html; mail.txt..... I can send you the ones I have if you need me to.

  Interesting. I know IMail uses "0" as the unlimited value in other fields, but
  could find no mention of entering 0 in the No. of Recipients per Msg field in
  either the pdf documentation or the online Help in the IMail
Admin
  console.

  Did you get this straight from Ipswitch, or just try it and find out it
  works? How many subscribers do you have in your list? How many SMTP
  processes start up when it's making a delivery?
