It won't have anything to do with the templates. The only thing I could find
on Ipswitch's KB is this:

4) Enter the message to be returned to all users who send mail to this
sub-area. The first line of the body of the message is used as the subject
line for the automated response. It must be less than 80 characters long.
The response message is contained in the subcategory.inf file in the user's
mail directory.

So, make sure the first line is shorter than 81 chars.

Since the autoresponse text is stored on the disk, and not in a db, it won't
be subject to any db truncation issue. But many of IMail's text files are
limited to 1024 chars; this may be the cause with the autoresponder. I'd
recommend you submit the question to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
