Yes, we used to hardwire a couple of blank lines in there. Problem with
that is, if you don't have a signature, the cursor will always enter the
blank message field down about 3 lines, so we removed those spaces and let
the users put blank lines in if they want.

What browser are they on? Did they use just standard carriage returns in
the signature field? They might want to try copying two blank lines to the
clipboard, then pasting them into the signature file above their content.
