That would be a Bad Idea, even if you could get it to work with FMP's
sort-of-odbc implementation. We've got quite a bit of experience with
FileMaker... it's great for internal apps on the LAN, but its biggest
problem in your proposed usage is that it is single-threaded... only one
query at a time. With a busy mail server, you're hitting the db on every
single POP access, SMTP access, and webmail page/frame load; FMP would
quickly get clogged-up, then crumple under the volume.
