One last note, I would only come out with a full version when the hotfixes
get out of hand (over 5 or so) if it takes lots of time to get it ready.

No, they do not. There is a description of each hotfix on the download
page that says something like "takes 2.0 or 2.0.1 up to 2.0.2". KWM for
IMail 6 is v1.52; KWM for IMail 7 starts at 2.0.
