I am doing that currently, I can communicate with SQL in all ways from the
Admin, but cannot log in via webmessaging. I am going to wipe the box clean
and start again on win2k and see what happens. I use sql for my prod
environment Ron. I was just hoping that someone knew this of this prob. I
had to upgrade the MDAC to 2.6sp1 before it would even crate the database.

Ps I setup a non-sql test domain to make sure i had all other details
correct and everything was fine.

Craig,
The big key to using SQL7 with IMail is using SQL Authentication on the
System DSN instead of Windows NT authentication. Then, you specify the
username and pw in the DSN Connection string of the external db
configuration in IMail. Here's a KB article on our system that should
