The thing that bothers me, is that people are accrediting Microsoft for
coming up with this "Great new idea". There have been several third party
isapi filters out, since late iis3 even. We've tooled a few of our own
solutions as well, where the utmost security was important, and only a few
types of requests were necessary. Microsoft's implementation of this is
the least flexible to date -- many third party ones let you do a lot of
customization per domain, as well as more precise logging, totally ignoring
hammering connections, etc. Granted, I'm glad Microsoft finally released
this some weeks ago - I just feel bad when people give them all the credit. :)
