no, the HTTP service is provided by the Imail cgi app, not the IIS thingy.

nimda doens�t look for anything but HTTP service on port 80.  web 
interfaces on routers, your refrigerator, Apache on web servers, they all 
qualify as nimda targets.

Was it qwest, in an earlier chapter, that got trashed because the the web 
interface on their DSL routers were DoS'd by code red?
