Hi,

Ok this is a bit long but I need some help here.  I have recently installed IMail v7 and KWM v2.

The installation is on our hosted server running Win2000 on which we have a number of our own web sites.

The IMail installation looks like this: -

1) Primary host  - this is not a domain name but the server name and IP address.
2) A virtual host on the same IP as primary host - 'domain name 1' with 0 users (except root) and all mail forwarded via the nobody alias to our MS Exchange box on our local network.
3) A virtual host on the same IP as primary host - 'domain name 2' with 0 users (except root) and all mail forwarded via the nobody alias to our MS Exchange box on our local network.
4) A virtual host on its own IP address - 'domain name 3' this domain used for email only for which we want to provide free email service domain points at this host IP address.
5) A virtual host on its own IP address - 'domain name 4' this domain used for email only for which we want to provide free email service domain points at this host IP address.

The IMail files were installed at d:\email and the HKI files were installed (after deleting all other files in the directory) into d:\email\web

My questions are: -

a) I understand the installation instructions to be that the KWM files should be installed only in the Primary host directory  i.e. d:\email\web with just customised files being put into a virtual hosts web directory. I assume then that if a virtual host does not have customised files there is no need to create a separate web directory. However this did not work for us, we could not load any KWM files when trying to access the virtual hosts.  We then created a web folder under domains 3 and 4 as above, and installed the KWM files and were able to load the pages when accessing the virtual hosts.

b) The virtual hosts appeared to be working OK once we were able to get them to load as (a) above.  We can set up users and receive mail fine, however a user cannot send mail (although we can send mail when using IMail client).  When the send mail button is selected from a user account the error page 'Proxy Reports: 10053 software caused connection to abort' appears.  Is there a file missing, is this a known problem with a fix or have we done something wrong?

c) When selecting calendar from a user account the user is returned to the log in page?

d) Having just started this whole installation we have not gone live yet or created anything other than a few test users.  This morning I noticed an unusually high level of activity on the server logs, upon investigation it would appear that all the activity was associated with d:\email\spool\   on checking local host\view queue it would appear there are some 3000+ messages waiting to go out - whets happening is this something to do with a spammer?

I would really appreciate your help.

Many thanks
