I have tried to reproduce this problem, but have no problems receiving a Word doc with an embedded jpg. I sent the message from an inside address and also from an external address. I'm using IE5.5 for the browser.

After extensive trial and error testing we've discovered that any word document with an embedded picture file (such as a jpg file) that is attached to an incoming message, has it's message deleted immediately by Imail upon receipt. So, therefore, any of our users who is sent a word document attachment with an embeded picture file never receives the message. We have checked over our domain rules, verified that the files are not being blocked by firewalls or quarantined by our virus scanner. The message simply shows deleted in the Imail log files. The only explanation seems to relate to the embedded picture file somehow. We have also encountered the same problem Jeff has, regarding word files not opening properly in the browser window when clicked in web messaging. So far we have not found any solution to opening these files directly, rather the user has to download them to their local machine before they can be viewed. This is a great annoyance to the non-technical user, and is the source of many complaints.
