Ron, In your opinion, do you think the monitor service could have anything to do with the iwebmsg service hanging? I read an earlier posting that made mention of it but no conclusive results.
It makes sense, when forcing SSL it would put more overhead on the service, but I do the same thing on my IIS servers, serving up some extremely large documents (e.g. >80mb) and experiencing no unreasonable overhead that would cause the system or service to hang making the site inaccessible to users. Most of the postings answering the question you posted indicate their running high speed systems as I am and although not all are experiencing the same problems, many are. My other question is - are the others running the monitor service with-in Imail or a third party like IP-Monitor. I'm getting ready to install IP-Monitor to see if it in fact it makes a difference, but wanted to get your take on it. We use the standard ODBC connection to an external SQL Server 2000 db on http://killerwebmail.com/. I don't think that's a problem. KWM doesn't do ANYTHING the stock templates don't do, technically speaking... KWM just does things with better cosmetics (which requires more code), and with frames. So the only difference is that the iwebmsg service will be under more load, relatively speaking, so any weakness in your system might be made more obvious by running KWM. -Ron > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of > Mustafa > Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2002 12:51 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [imail] IMail 7 + KWM - let's hear from others... > > > Yes I'm using ODBC connection but it's fast when I'm using the default > template.
