I know this isn't related to HKSI templates, but there are always helpful reponses here to most any IMail topic.

I'm getting ready to run the "Delete Messages by Date" process (IMail 6.06) on my default mail host for older than 90 days.  6504 accounts are involved, many with multiple WebMail folders.  The process has never been run, and there are some HUGE mailboxes.  I found an account recently with more than 18,000 messages in his Deleted folder.  That one has already been cleaned up.  There are more, I'm sure, but probably not that extreme.

My questions are:

1.  It will probably take a while for the process to run.  What happens if new mail comes into an account while it is being purged, or if a user has an SMTP or a WebMail session going at the time?  Should I shut down POP3, SMTP, and WebMail during the purge?  (I don't really want to do that.)

2.  Is the utility reliable in adhering to the specified number of days?  All my users have been notified that messages older than 90 days will be deleted, and I don't want to run into a situation where there's a glitch and messages newer than that get zapped.
