I'm trying to accomplish this too, (Imail v6) but get:

Log-in attempt failed. Try again...

I copied the code directly from your example, and changed the post to our
mail server.

Also, how can I hide the domain name? or login without the @domain.com ?
(it is a virtual host)

You mean to "http://yourdomain:8383/login.cgi";, right? See the example
form at http://www.humankindsystems.com/imail-login.htm.
