Hi Martin,

I had a similar problem with sending mail to the two biggest ISP's in
Poland.
The email was just being rejected.
The problem however was with the fact that my domain was not registered in
the in-addr.arpa - ie. the reverse domain lookup.
SOme mail systems make sure that the domain of the server exists, and only
then do they accept the mail.
Is it possible that in the HELO string that You are sending out to a server
when You connect, You dont have the full name of your mail server?

This is the only clue that I have...

Marcin

Subject: [IMail Forum] Sending to AOL accounts.

We have recently implemented IMail (v 5.04) and since then have had trouble
sending mail to some AOL user. When our users send messages to an active AOL
account from our IMail system the messages is acknowledged as received by
AOL (at least that is what the logs show) but is not received by the AOL
account holder. The same message can then be sent through a Hotmail account
via the same machine and internet account and the AOL user always receive
the message. Since our school conducts a great deal of its business
internationally we rely on e-mail as a primary means of communication. We
need to communicate with many people who have AOL and never had this problem
prior to implementing IMail. I sure I made some kind of mistake setting up
IMail but after searching the Knowledge Base and contacting Support I am out
of options. Has anyone encountered and corrected this problem? Any ideas
about what may be the cause?

TIA.
