I don't think the Password Option lights up unless Moderator
only is set. Someone slap me if I am wrong.

Hmm, could this scheme be used with the "Only subscribers may post" option?
I'm thinking of a list for a non-profit that might want to have a small
circle of authorized contributors - probably the officers, staff and
committee heads - for a news/announcement type of channel for the membership
at large.
If only members of this inner circle had the password, it would be like
having several vice-moderators.
Also, must this password be the moderator's mail account password? ( I hope
not.)
