After you disabled check null did you restart SMTP services?

I cant get mail from one particular list.
I can get it fine through Yahoo mail.
in my log I see:

I've disabled check null and vrfy and auth. nothing seems to work.
what's causing this, what setting can I change to get mail, or what do I
have to tell the othersysadmin is going on w his mach if it's him?
