First of all, I'm not bashing this program. I think this is an excellent
application. I am curious, however, what purpose the e-mail to pager client
was designed for. The two applications that I had originally intend to use
it for have several large drawbacks. I had intended to use bpclient as an
internet paging doorway for our paging customers - the drawback: I had to
manually import 10,000 aliases to the registry, which was and is, very
cumbersome to work with. I had also thought to use it for e-mail
notification - the drawback: any mail not sent as strictly a text message
will result with the pager being sent a very confusing message of partial
headers and other unusable information for the end user.
The solution for both my problems would be for I-mail to have the ability
to send the author and the subject as parameters to bpclient or any program
alias for that matter. As it stands, the paging client just doesn't seem to
do anything for me. Am I missing something?
