anyone using webshield with imail 4.07 ?
i thought i had it working but turns out not.
seems that once the dns changes hit the internet mail started bouncing
between the webshield machine and the imail machine.
I have searched thru all my files and setup and cannnot see a problem that
stands out.
I am at wits end.
what happens is that mail is received by webshield then scanned and sent on
to the imail machine.
then the imail machines sends it back to webshield's machine. then sent
back to the imail machine.
this happens 5 times to each machine then webshield sticks it in its
deferred directory.
i have the dns entries setup like this according to the way i read the manual
mailserver.fiber-net.com. in a 209.208.12.4 (computer running as our
mailmachine)
in mx 10 apache.fiber-net.com. (webshield machine)
in mx 20 mailserver.fiber-net.com. (imail machine)
fiber-net.com. in a 209.208.12.3 (webserver machine)
in mx 10 apache.fiber-net.com. (webshield machine)
in mx 20 mailserver.fiber-net.com. (imail machine)
mail in cname mailserver
any help advice clues suggestions
