Our local e-mail system is going to be set up on the IMail system in the next month or
so. We want to seperate our mail so that anyone who internally e-mails me
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) goes to my inbox and anyone else gets redirected to another
account.
Our network is still being put up, but all of the intranet PCs will have static IP
addresses, so I know which users have which IP addresses. One of my IT people
suggested that every user have two e-mail addresses: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED] All mail would be addressed to our regular e-mail address and
internal e-mail (along with those people who are granted access) would be forwarded to
our corp. accounts.
My thought is that there has to be an easier way than having two seperate e-mail
accounts for every user that I have (which isn't that large -- under 30). Can I
selectively filter based on the senders IP address? I can't filter based on address
in the "From:" field because anyone can spoof that field and get around the filter.
Internal e-mail **MUST** have priority over external e-mail. Even if it would be a
tedious process to initially set up these accounts, it would not be a problem because
of the small number of users that I have. Can anyone provide some insight? Is anyone
out there doing something similar?
