In a previous life, I worked on a project which included a list server.
When implementing the digest mode configuration, we included two thresholds
which said:
"Send messages every [[xx hours/day/week]] or every [[50]] messages,
whichever comes first."
This allowed the list to automatically adapt to the volume of messages;
more digests posted when the volume went up, yet send out messages in a
timely manner when the volume was not as high.
'Perhaps a feature suggestion for IMail's list server capabilities?
