I had some initial problems getting it to work with Access97, but I had to
set the DSN/Table Name a few times within IMail itself for the settings to
actually hold. Once I got the initial config done....it has been
bulletproof(knock on wood). The supplied DLL may not work correctly with
Access 2000....

thanks,
the test machine that imail is on is also running sql and access 2000
although the database does have a table that imail created...it did have
a problem finding the database at first
are there known issues/problems in using an access database??
thanks again,
Jason Hess

Jason,
Sounds like your table is out of whack on the external DB....or possibly
the
DSN. You need to make a System DSN to the database and then let IMail
create it's own table. Then the Dr. Watson will go away. You could
also
create your own table, but letting IMail do it is much quicker ;-)

I am thinking of switching from ntmail to imail.
1) Is there a way to convert from ntmail to imail? I'd really hate to
write something that was already done ;)
2)when installing imal eval to the d drive and setting it to an external
database.. the install hangs, and will though a dr watson when trying to
add a user.
any ideas why? I am working off a ipswitch eval cd ver 5.01 should i
download the newer eval?
3)is imail capable of pop before smtp for anti-spam??
4)how solid is this new version...should I wait a little while for it to
evolve??
all responces are appreciated...
thsnks
