Hi,
Can anyone tell me which is best way to handle multiple sending of
email to multiple recipients?
I had client send 20 mail x 30 recipients (600 emails) and the CPU
pegged at 100% and everything was going to crash and burn...first
with asp failing, then other services going down till server locks
up.....this was happening till I was monitoring and saw it
happen......luckily I caught it in time to shut iwebmsg down (as
cpu for iwebmsg went sky high) to save a probable reboot.
I caught the client and after he told me what he is
doing...extracting up to 100 clients from database and sending 20
to 30 emails to each recipient....I can see why the crash.
So, what is best way to handle large volume of email...
Sending mails 30 by 30 with BCC is obvious that Imail can not
handle....:-(
Perhaps by sending the message 1 recipient by 1... It will take a
long time, but maybe be better between the threads and the cpu will
not peg? or is there a better way?
Specs: ver. 4.08 w/400mhz dual w/512meg Ram
