Hi...
I'm in a school setting where it would be helpful to have a standard
response to finger queries, but where that response would not be changeable
by the user. Eg, "for info about a user, contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]", or something.
I'll be using imail's database.
a) is it possible to setup a default finger reply that will be apply to new
users?
b) is it possible to make a global user change to finger settings?
(I realize that I can create a plan.ima file for a user and manually copy
it to other directories)
c) is it possible to make finger info available and yet prevent users from
changing it?
d) why do I get constant finger activity like this showing up in the log?
Is it just the finger server talking to itself or is it a
mis-configuration? (198.59.165.2is the machine it's running on)
