We are using the email to pager extensively. Only about 50 addresses, but
high use from all of them. The queueing feature works ok, but there isn't
any notification if the person doesn't get the page.

Honestly, if you buy a good modem to use, it should work fine. About once a
month I go out and switch on and off the modem, but I think that's caused by
incompatibilities between the paging terminal and my modem. I'm running a
direct serial connection between the paging server and my Imail box right
now - if you're interested, I'll let you know how that works.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Email to pager client

I am looking for someone who is using this feature extensively.

What happens if the pager system is busy/no answer or for whatever reason
doesnt go thru..will it retry? And, where are the settings for this?

What about no dial tone?

It has been working fine, but I am trying to anticipate trouble before it
starts.
