Maybe you are just misstating yourself, but "foo" in foo.xyz.com is not a
"foo mailbox" but an smtp mail domain/server.
also, in an Imail user account you can set for each user the "reply to:"
field as either [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] Maybe this is
where your "stripping" is occuring.
