One of my teachers, using the web messaging from a Netscape browser on a
Mac, sent a large (5MB) PDF file as an attachment. (The message was
returned due to a bad userid.) In the returned message there was a note
about MIME support.

My question is: where would the message I've clipped below have been
generated? The browser, our server, their server? The receiving server
is also an Imail server (5.05, I believe). I'm running 5.07.

X-Mailer: <IMail v5.07>
X-Attachments: C:\IMAIL\spool\intro%20ss%20%28DR%29(1).pdf;

This mail message contains standard MIME attachments. If you see this
note, your e-mail program does not support MIME. You may need a MIME-
compliant mail reader to read any non-text attachments in this message.
