I'm working on a business to business site. I have a need to send bulk email
(a newsletter) to business people who have signed up with our service. The
maximum number of messages I can ever see us sending is 30,000 a day - it'll
be more like 6,000 a day to start.
We will not be spamming anyone, because everyone of these people will have
actually requested the email. They won't get sent any mail until they ask
for it and even then they can set the frequency - once a day, once a week,
once a month, etc. We are just hoping that they'll want it once a day.
Is there something in IMail that can be used for this? We have a VB control
that can send email, but I think it establishes a new connection to SMTP
server for every email - lots of overhead. Maybe there is a bulk email
software out there someplace. Thanks.
