Phil, Made good experiences so far using a config like this: RAID5 the three 9Gig Disks to one big virtual disk (= approx. 18Gig usable), install WinNT to 4Gig NTFS partition on this virtual disk (= drive c:, leaves about 14 Gig unused), then create one NTFS partition containing the remaining space from the virtual disk (= drive d:, about 14Gig). Use c: partition for nt and os utilities only, install all other software to d: Backup on o/b SCSI adapter means all data has to travel trough your mainboard's data bus for backup... watch out for comments from other list members on this.
