I'm of the opinion that this mail list server is a little out of control. Now I like to keep up with problems and solutions as well as any good system administrator, but my email volume has blossomed a bit since I subscribed to this list. And, I have to admit, the folks which use the list are a pretty well behaved group of folks and stick to subject 90+% of the time.

However... would a newsgroup serve the group better? Or maybe just a message board?? Broken down into some general subjects, we might not have to wade through quite so many email posts. Maybe there's room for both a newsgroup and an email list server.

Of course, the list server belongs to Ipswitch and they might just prefer to continue the way it is. However, it might even help them to assign individual support people to certain subjects. It might help them to more effectively help us.

I'm sure someone could scrounge up the necessary software and a little disk space to host such a newsgroup. Maybe even me, although I might have to post a few ads to help defray expenses.

Everyone knows what opinions are like so let's hear them. And maybe a comment from Ipswitch??

Oh yeah.... if someone knows of a newsserver already running and serving Ipswitch products, I apologize for this post, and please let me know where it is.

Thanks...
