Hi all,
I've had to go back to SP5.
Since I installed SP6, for reasons unknown we've been getting intermittent
complaints from some of our users that they are having problems, sometime
sending, sometimes receiving mail. POP3 and SMTP were running, just
occasionally not responding. Webmail was NEVER affected.

Here's a log entry to a valid user from a valid user:

11:04 17:22 SMTPD(057C01AE) [209.31.83.143] MAIL FROM: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
11:04 17:22 SMTPD(057C01AE) [209.31.83.143] RCPT TO: < [EMAIL PROTECTED]>
11:04 17:22 SMTPD(057C01AE) [209.31.83.143] ERR pmgnet.com invalid user <
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

And after I reverted back to SP5 an hour later, I had them send the mail
again:

11:04 18:25 SMTPD(00010350) [209.31.83.142] MAIL FROM: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
11:04 18:25 SMTPD(00010350) [209.31.83.142] RCPT TO: < [EMAIL PROTECTED]>
11:04 18:25 SMTPD(00010350) [209.31.83.142] H:\MAIL\spool\D15e3350.SMD 33319
11:04 18:25 SMTP-(000001FE) processing H:\MAIL\spool\Q15e3350.SMD
11:04 18:25 SMTP-(000001FE) (E) ERR error 2 on uid open prior
11:04 18:25 SMTP-(000001FE) ldeliver pmgnet.com -main (1)
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 33319
11:04 18:25 SMTP-(000001FE) finished H:\MAIL\spool\Q15e3350.SMD status=1

The error message is weird, but the mail went through.
I've had no complaints since I reverted to SP5.
I upgraded to IMail v5.08 BEFORE I reverted to SP5 but AFTER the complaints
started.
I have heard that SP6 made some changes to TCP/IP and the way it handles
ports. I know that before SP6 I'd get this long list of SMTPD messages in
the Imail SYS SPOOL as it connected to every port.

Like these:
11:04 18:26 SMTPD(004900EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1104
11:04 18:27 SMTPD(004B00EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1108
11:04 18:28 SMTPD(004D00EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1115
11:04 18:29 SMTPD(004F00EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1119
11:04 18:30 SMTPD(005100EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1123
11:04 18:31 SMTPD(005D00EC) [209.31.83.5] connect 209.31.83.5 port 1127
 etc.

After SP6 that listing stopped, and since I have reverted it has reappeared.

Any ideas?
