If it means you can input a message and then manipulate it prior to submission to the smtp then I had planned on including that with the "web" application I eventually will offer our clients.
I guess draft means input now, save, quit, and then retrieve/edit/send later??
However, I had never even considered that Ipswitch might offer components.
they haven't, yet. What's requested is API to their Imail functions, so they could be scripted like serverobjects.com's are. I bet Ipswitch, if they offeer an API, will do it through an fairly expensive SDK, with support contracts. They have some experience in that with their ftp products.
My intention was to use ASPs and http://www.serverobjects.com ASPQMail and ASPPOP3 components for sending and receiving.
Then that can be different from Imail's Web msgsing completely, if you wanted to write your own Web messaging application for POP3 or IMAP. www.kbmail.com has one in Java already.
customer information is needed this works very nicely. The create/edit message phase can be very complex
yeah, ime, it ain't worth it. Edit the msg in a form TEXTAREA, and maybe the ability to save it without sending it, but that gets into a database application.
I had looked at http://www.chado-software.com spelling checker server based component for one of the composition parts since some clients want spell checking. It works nicely but is a little tedious for me. Their ActiveX client-side component is great but of course only works with MS.
spell checking is great, but I see web messaging, when used an feature alongside Imail POP3 and IMAP mail delivery, as not where people compose great texts of literature but quickies/on-the-run. Web msging is great, but in most of the world with metered local calls, people don't spend any more time that is required in web messaging, probably.

There isn't, but I got the impressions the objective was to add "draft/send later" to Imail Web Messaging. I was pointing out that Imail web messaging is not very open just to HTML adaptations, let alone co-operating with add-on programs.
