I've done a bit of work using IMail's PWD Server.

The first thing I can tell you is that even though you
can know the commands, you can't run them simply with
TELNET or similar, because after you send the
username, the transmission from that point on is
"encrypted" by shifting all characters by one byte. 
That means you can't directly type the commands since
you can't type a space that has been shifted.

I've written VB code to use a telnet control to
perform some functions, and I've also written an
ActiveX DLL that does most of the Admin functions by
emulating form submissions to the IMail web-based
administration pages.  This DLL was written because of
a need to create users via ASP, something I haven't
seen IMail do yet.

As far as I can tell, there is no documentation on
these functions, and IpSwitch doesn't seem eager to
give out the information.
