I've just upgraded from latest 5.XX version to 6.01 (downloaded from the
ipswitch site, with the link send to all agreements owner) and I got a huge
weird problem :
Now when a message arrives in a box for an user... the mailbox size
increases (it's normal as the message is stored in it), but the number of
messages in the box is reported as 0. I checked this with the imail
administrator and by telneting to pop3 port of the server and querying about
new messages...
exemple this user has 3 messages waiting and here what's imail pop3 daemon
reports :
telnet my.server.tld 110
answer: +OK X1 NT-POP3 Server mail.web-services.com (IMail 6.01 365-1)
issued command :USER test
answer: +OK welcome
issued command : PASS ****
answer: +OK maildrop locked and ready
issued command : LIST
answer: +OK 0 messages (14357 octets)

It's pretty strange.. as the pop3 open the right files for this box but
return a number of mails of 0.
Now.. something more strange...
I access the box from the web messaging ... and there i can see the mails
without anyproblems... and after having accessed the box
through web messaging...
I telnet again and here is what says the server :
+OK X1 NT-POP3 Server mail.web-services.com (IMail 6.01 380-1)
+OK welcome
+OK maildrop locked and ready
+OK 2 messages (2982 octets)
1 1477
2 1505
.
The messages appeared for the POP3 daemon....
This is weird.. and i have ca. 2000 users on 200 vhosts, and it's the same
for each vhost.
