We just ordered IMail to replace our NTMail 5 email program. Dealing with
NTMail was horrible. We have a 3000+ NT domain SAM user database that we
authenticate from. NTMail 4&5 would take several minutes to update the user
listing. IMail updates the same list in a couple of seconds. We never even
put NTMail into production use because of this.
This was not the only problem of course. It took them forever to get me
working keys to unlock the JUCE and ANTI VIRUS portions of the program. They
didn't seem very interested in helping me until we bought a support
contract. The only people I could contact was sales, who kept refering me to
technical support. A phone call to technical support was $5.00 a minute. I
refused to pay for a phone call to get working keys. I think most people
would agree that working keys is part of the sales agreement, not a
technical support issue. A few weeks later they issued a patch to fix the
problem.
We wasted approximately $2000 on NTMail 5. I hope IMail proves to be better.
So far it looks good.
