I am running 6.01 but using an external database. I don't see that
condition in my Imail administrator. I added a user just to see and for me
it seems to be working just fine.
I am a programmer. I could have written my own mail server program but I
could not have done it as well or as cheaply as IMAIL. My opinion is that
IMAiL is pretty solid software and it is easier to administer and make
productive that any other email server I've worked on. 6.01 includes huge
changes to the administration suite of programs. These are usually the most
difficult pieces of code to write and because of the huge number of options
almost impossible to completely test under every circumstance. That is
especially true with the proliferating number of operating systems and
collateral services.
If there are problems in this or subsequent releases of Imail I have a lot
of confidence that the programmers at IPSWITCH will fix them.
As a programmer I notice that in my work the expectations of users continue
to increase dramatically only being exceeded by their ignorance of
programming issues and their vitriolic criticism. I know very few
programmers who deliberately write code with errors. But I know a lot who
are overworked, stressed beyond any reasonable limits, and dealing with way
too many tasks at any one time.
Personally I respond a lot better to less personal attacks and I bet the
programmers at IPSWITCH do too.

after upgrading from 5.08 to 6.01, the First and Last names are both put in
the Firstname box in Imail Administrator !
IMHO someone should realy talk to the guy who wrote this piece of.... !
