I have Norton 5.0 setup on auto-protect and it does work to scan spool
files automatically. I set this to clean and it cleans the file most
of the time before it it sent, or so it appears. This is what it's log
says anyway. Auto-protect also scans any new files on the whole
machine as well protecting the server.

I would also recommend Black Ice to any one here as mentioned here
earlier by some one else. http://www.networkice.com We had no idea that
so many were attempting to hack our servers in so many different ways
and this blocks much of this as well as tracks down the offender. It
even protected one of our IIS server early this morning against someone
trying to overload it.
