Obviously check the logs - usually when the QM
stops you can correlate it to an "ERR" in the logs. Under 8.15 I see this
happen at least 2-3 times a month. However, the service tends to end up in
a "pending" state. Not stopped but certainly not running. If this is
happening frequently and you are finding that you end up with pretty large
backup's you might want to check out our QueueMon application which is a windows
service to monitor, correct, and notify you when issues like this crop up.
You can run it for 30 days in trial mode which should be long enough for you to
resolve your particular issue.
