Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] 2006.03 - A story about success and problems

Hi again,

after all the web messaging problems I had before with my installation I
finally went back to a backup that has a clean IMail 2006.3 install.
This time I did not try to promote the machine to be a Windows domain
controller.

I still see problems with web messaging. Different problems.
I can direct my browser to http://192.168.1.5/iClient and get the
Ipswitch Web Messaging logon screen. That is a step forward!

But what am I supposed to enter as username/password.

For
   username paege
   password mypassword
I get
"Unable to log into the system.
Reason: The Domain does not exist"

For
   username iclient/paege
   password mypassword
I get
   "Invalid username/password"

I tried with different users. All have "Allow Web Access" checked. I
double checked all passwords. No go.
Maybe I'm stupid.

All tests were local - no firewalls involved. But from outside the
firewall the tests show the same results.

Help needed - still...

Regards
