hi bill,

yes, this is one that we have been unable to reproduce, even after logging into the environment experiencing this.

are other folks seeing/experiencing SMTPD32 memory leaks -  if so we'd like to hear more so we can try and nail this one. The symptoms appear to be that SMTPD32 races and starts chewing up memory.

bye for now,

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] tmp files in spool directory

this is now a known problem with 2006. I also have a memory leak which they have been unable to find a solution for and I've been waiting for over a week to hear back.

Hi,

another small problem with ICS2006.3

I just checked my spool directory and found lots of temporary files. All files follow the naming scheme tmp***.tmp where *** is a three digit hex number. All files are 2KB in size. Checking the content of the files I found that all are valid e-mails that were sent to an alias of type "Program". In my case it is a MailSniffer update announcement that comes in several times a day. The mails are received correctly and trigger the related CMD file so my MailSniffer updates do work. But IMail leaves such a spool file every time.

Just a small glitch?
