hello oblio,

this sounds very strange and you obviously should not have rename (twice) the main mbx file to address issues.  what version are you running and have you been in touch with TS?  If not, I will arrange a follow-up.  you can ping me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED].

btw, i'm, definitely not trying to diminish the importance of the "smaller" items and we will continue to relentless tackle them.  for some folks AD and WGS are significant enhancements but understandably for many, it adds little value to how you use, maintain and manage your messaging solution.

bye for now,

Well, these all sound like nice features, but currently, I have quite a few customers who are hounding me because they simply can't use the webmail interface.  It's been rife with problems, one of which seems to be cured by renaming the main box, opening, and renaming it back.  Trouble is, I'd have to walk every user through that process.  Or another where users simply can't delete messages (through IMAP).  I really need to get the *basics* working before being interested in fancy add-on features; it worries me that you seem to be including those as "smaller items".

So when are some of these going to be released?

hello Oblio,

Yes, that is correct - .03 is the latest public release.  IMail 2006.04 is in final verification/testing and is slotted for this week or next.  Here's a short summary of what's new in .04.
  1. Active Directory Support (now can handle 10's of thousands of users in seconds when it used to be minutes).  Users who currently are using NT domain support in Active Directory environments can now choose to use Active Directory instead. Using Active Directory in place of NT domain support provides much improved performance for environments with >1000 users.
  2. Updated WorkgroupShare (major performance (up to 50% faster), schedule, sync status indicator, ability to cancel a synch)
  3. About 25 smaller items including - many in web messaging
    1. Added link to Web Calendar
    2. Can use adduser.exe to add 1 or 2 char usernames
    3. RegBack allows you to restore backups
    4. Fixed defect in which a User's folder is left behind after deleting user from IAdmin
    5. Fixed defect in which spaces were not showing up correctly with encoding (Eudora)
    6. Fixed problem where Web Client didn't display inline images
    7. Fixed server time when changing to Daylight Savings Time
  4. Full language support in web messaging for Fr/Ge/Sp/It/Ja/Si and Tr Ch
We are also rolling .05 and .06 into a single release that will be available in June and will include several new and parity features including (this list is not final yet) a new MailFilters AntiSpam (more control over catching inline gif spam, frequency of updates), Disk Space Indicator, Ability to make Personal Groups, Ability to Add Sender To Contacts, Persistence of Private Label Changes (subsequent upgrades will not overwrite any custom branding) and a few other items which we'll be demoing in 3-4 weeks.

bye for now,
