Look at the domain's DNS setup. Some mail admins reject mail from an IP
address if the IP is not included somewhere in the domain's zone file. It
doesn't have to be the MX record, because so many places use upstream
filtering. But if you add an A record for the server that matches the
EHLO/HELO string, that should be sufficient. (IMail provides a different
string per domain)

Subject: [IMail Forum] message delivery failure

Hello,
When I send an email to certain addresses, the emails bounce back
with the following reason

Delivery failed 10 attempts: ##########
Server response to MAIL FROM:
450 4.1.8 invalid/host-not-in-DNS return address not allowed

I have checked all the settings of the Imail server and there is no problem
at all. The funny thing is that the emails sent to the same addresses from
any account of the official hostname get delivered. I am running multiple
domains in the server.

Does anybody have the idea of such an erratic behavior?
