I am running Ipswitch Collaboration suite 8.02 in a Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz box with 2 GB RAM in it. The number of email users in the server is not more than 1000 and the total email transaction in the server is less than 15000 per day. That means it should work exceptionally well. However, of late, we have been facing a problem of heavy load on the POP3 service in the server. I tried to reinstall the POP3 service but in vain. I have low spec servers with huge number of email users and more than 30000 email transactions per day. But there is never a problem with the POP3 service in those servers. Can anybody tell me what could be the reason for such erratic behavior of the POP3 service?
