Hello,
I am trying to set up our Imail v8.2 email server (Windows 2000 sp4) to
use port 587 to receive SMTP requests from our employees who are outside
of our office but it doesn't work.
This is what I have done so far:
1. On the firewall router I set up port forwarding on port 587 to our
email server which is located behind the firewall.
(the firewall is not capable of traffic redirection from port 587 to 25,
so the SMTP requests are hitting the email server on port 587.)
On the email server:
2. SMTP Mail Relay Options: Relay mail for anyone
3. Enable SMTP to listen on All IPs
Even if I try to connect to the email server from inside our
LAN, I get an error:
Could not connect to email server, connection refused (10061) (Eudora 7.0
email client)
Is there something that I missed? (spam and virus filtering is done by
Postini.)
