Declude has nothing to do with it.   However, you may have hit on something. You said this is with an external DB. If the mailbox of a local user exceeds it's configured limits, Imail will REJECT the incoming message during the receive session. There is no bounce message created. End of story! You are either doing something wrong or these are messages that are being forward somewhere and that mailbox is full.
