For the record this thread topic, I am also pasting my previous post below.

I think the SA would be worth it if you can upgrade without bugs or unresolved issues. I personally feel IP Switch should extend the IMAIL SA for those customers whom have kept their licensures current and until such time a stable release is hard proven acceptable.

I feel the same exact way that Darin does below. I have been faithful and

appreciative customer of IMail since v4.0 days, but have remained at the

stable 8.22, and despite continuously paying year-to-year for license

renewal upgrades. The inherent ongoing bugs and problems with each release

seem never fixed and not acceptable. I made a judgment call last year

whether to renew or if a waste of money. I feel it was a waste and could

have saved money by skipping a year or two of SA's, and until such time I

felt comfortable upgrading to a bug free release and then renewing our

license.

Subject: [IMail Forum] It is worth it to buy the SA?

We’ve been running Imail 7.15 for a few years now and it’s been running very well. Well, it’s time to renew my SA with Ipswitch but I’m wondering is it worth it?

In following this list I see that the latest versions of Imail have been far from stellar, so I’m know I will not be upgrading to 2006.x anytime soon. I think I’ve seen that 8.22 is pretty stable but is it worth the upgrade from a 7.15 that’s old but stable, to a 8.22? Is it worth it for me to spend the money for an SA for Imail?

Opinions?
