Hi all. I was feeling bat (like Zul) about all messages about "Export username and password..", but as a new user in this list, i feel bad too about all "gurus" "may stop at regurgitating the same conclusion over and over".
I was trying to help Zul, and as i can see, i'm "people who *don't know*", yes, i am, cause i don't know all things you were talking about last century. i'm guilty. Sandy, you're right, first steep is search in KB, archives... but one "power admin" could say "Hey, Pere you're wrong, that isn't the way, search here, or here" or "Zul, don't follow this, search in archive for 'migrate util'". Be sure, we look there to find the "right solution". This is my last post here, so thx all people posted in list, i learn a lot!! Best regards, Pere -----Mensaje original----- De: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] nombre de Sanford Whiteman Enviado el: lunes, 13 de noviembre de 2006 7:47 Para: Zul J Asunto: Re[2]: [IMail Forum] Export username and password.. > Sorry... I feel bad about this... I will be careful next time when I > post a question... No reason to be *careful* per se, but just realize that when you don't search the archives first, and when the more knowledgeable people on this list know that there are numerous archived threads with exhaustive comments on the exact same topic, those people will likely direct you to search the archives. These people contributed their research, expertise, and time to the community originally, but their charity may stop at regurgitating the same conclusion over and over. And bear in mind that the answers you get from people who *don't know* about the frequently-asked nature of your question will, more often than not, be incorrect, because such users do not have as much experience with the product. Between these extremes, there will be power admins who will indeed answer your question correctly and extend another thread, looking the other way on the fact they have answered it before. I do this myself -- when the question is not *so* glaringly common, and when the possible answers are not *so* dirt-easy to search for and consider in the archives. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/relea se/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/downl oad/release/ http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/ release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
