[IMail Forum] 6000 plus messages in mailbox

Have a user that at some point disabled his client from deleting emails 
during retrieval and now has over 6000 messages sitting in his mailbox, 
which is choking his mail client and also the IMail web interface.  How 
can I ditch all but the last few days worth of messages from his mailbox?
